For this theme, we want a humanized yet nonhuman narrative: give us your work that blinds us and binds us, turns rivers into veins and thunder into circuitry. Build us a blueprint that cartographs the way to your True North. Submit by 07.29.2025.
general guidelines
FOR ART
You will submit your artwork in a Google Form, where you will enter your full name, email, the artwork title, materials used, and a short 300-character passage detailing your inspirations and creative process. Make sure you take clear photos of your artwork with nothing else in frame.
We accept previously published work, and accept simultaneous submissions. If accepted elsewhere, promptly let us know. All submitted work must be your own original pieces. DO NOT submit any AI-generated pieces or images of artwork that are not your own. You MAY use images that are not your own but have to incorporate them into your artwork in a way that invokes a new and original meaning/purpose.

For accepted pieces, JADE&COMPASS asks for First North American Serial Rights and First Electronic Rights. After publication, all rights will revert back to the author. Authors may resubmit their work elsewhere once the piece has been published on this magazine provided that they credit this publication. If your work has been previously published, we ask for Second Serial Rights and Archival Rights with all rights reverting back to the author after publication. We reserve the nonexclusive rights to publish and archive all accepted submissions.
Anything hurtful, discriminatory, and/or offensive will not be reviewed or published.
Our current deadline is 7.29.2025. ​We will get back to you on our decision of your work within ONE WEEK of receiving it. We give free feedback, but do let us know if you would prefer not to receive any. At this time, we are not a paying publication.

Do not submit any writing that is AI-generated or plagiarized. Our editors go through extensive checks to make sure that your literature is original. You may use other pieces as inspiration.
